Our Professional Training staff
We are proud of our experienced, well educated and enthusiastic training staff. All of our trainers are certified by NCCA accredited organizations including: National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the American Council of Exercise (ACE).
Pam Guyer – Club Owner and Personal Training Manager, ACSM Personal Trainer, NASM Personal Trainer, ACE Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant, ACE Clinical Exercise Specialist. Pam is available on a limited basis ($75 per session).
Brisa Apodaca – Level I Trainer – NASM Personal Trainer
Nikki Donner – Level II Trainer – NASM Personal Trainer, ACE Personal Trainer, Certified Spin Instructor, Certified Pilates Basic Mat Instructor
Warren Kelly – Level II Trainer – ACE Personal Trainer, Certified Spin Instructor, Bilingual.
Gina Padilla – Level II Trainer, Group Fitness Director, NASM Personal Trainer, ACE Personal Trainer, ACE Group Fitness Instructor, ACE Lifestyle and Weight Management Consultant, AAS Exercise Science Degree.
Leslie Pedlar – Level I Trainer – NASM Personal Trainer, AFAA Certified Group Fit Instructor, Certified Spin Instructor.
Personal Trainer Levels
The Personal Training Program of the Taos Spa & Tennis Club provides two levels of Personal Trainers. All trainers adhere to the Taos Spa & Tennis Club’s high standards of excellence and have the education, credentials, expertise and resources needed to help you succeed.
Level I Trainer
Level I Trainers possess a national level certification in Personal Training and CPR.
Level II Trainer
All Level II Trainers meet the following criteria:
- Possess a national level certification in Personal Training and CPR.
- Have a minimum 200 hours of training experience
- Possess specialized certifications and/or education in fitness, nutrition, weight loss, older adults, etc.
- Minimum 1 year experience as a personal trainer.
Consultations and Assessments
Basic Consultation ($20) – Assistance with goal setting, exercise plan and scheduling.
Fitness Assessment ($40) - Fitness Assessments measure your current level of fitness, aid in goal setting and tracking your progress, track a variety of health related components, and increase motivation! A fitness assessment provides a baseline measurement of cardiovascular endurance, muscular endurance, body composition, blood pressure and flexibility.

Small Group Training
A small group can consist of 3 to 6 people. It works best with people that have similar fitness goals and similar fitness levels. Groups offer friendship and support. The routine is tailored to the goals needs and abilities of the group.
